Ontario Power Outages

Canada has no open live feed, so the quickest way to check Ontario is the official outage map from Hydro One, Alectra and Toronto Hydro or another operator below.

Hydro One serves nearly 1.5 million mostly rural customers, while more than 50 local distribution companies, led by Alectra, Toronto Hydro and Hydro Ottawa, serve cities and towns. Nuclear produced 51% of 2023 generation and hydro 25%. The May 2022 derecho interrupted 1.85 million customers across 15 distributors, and the March 2025 ice storm interrupted 1.13 million Hydro One customers, 76% of its base. The IESO runs the grid and the Ontario Energy Board regulates distributors.
