Biggest Nevada power outages since 2014

Statewide outage events recorded by DOE's EAGLE-I system since late 2014, with likely causes from NOAA storm reports

The largest power outage in Nevada since 2014 (Dec 29, 2022 – Jan 6, 2023) left as many as 73,664 customers (5.21% of the state) without power at once, driven by Winter Storm Elliott. The next largest (Aug 12–13, 2018) peaked at 54,855 customers (Severe thunderstorms).

By EAGLE-I's count, Nevada customers averaged about 2 hr 9 min without power per year from 2018 to 2025. The worst year was 2025, at 3 hr 49 min per customer.

Outages peak in January (14% of outage time). Outage time in Nevada has risen recently: about 2 hr 50 min per customer per year in 2022–2025, versus 1 hr 28 min in 2018–2021.
