Biggest Oklahoma power outages since 2014

Statewide outage events recorded by DOE's EAGLE-I system since late 2014, with likely causes from NOAA storm reports

The largest power outage in Oklahoma since 2014 (Oct 26 – Nov 9, 2020) left as many as 379,391 customers (18.36% of the state) without power at once, driven by an ice storm. The next largest (Jun 15–25, 2023) peaked at 359,659 customers (Severe thunderstorms).

By EAGLE-I's count, Oklahoma customers averaged about 8 hr 15 min without power per year from 2018 to 2025. The worst year was 2020, at 27 hr 44 min per customer.

Outages peak in October (26% of outage time). Outage time in Oklahoma has fallen recently: about 6 hr 51 min per customer per year in 2022–2025, versus 9 hr 40 min in 2018–2021.
