Northern Territory Power Outages

Australia has no open live feed, so the quickest way to check Northern Territory is the official outage map from Power and Water Corporation.

The Northern Territory is not connected to the national grid. Power and Water runs three regulated systems at Darwin-Katherine, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek, and Nhulunbuy is supplied separately. Gas supplied 81.4 per cent of generation in 2025, the highest share in the country. Cyclone Tracy destroyed most of Darwin in December 1974 and left the city without power, water or communications. Flooding has also caused outages in the Katherine region.
