Connacht Power Cuts

Ireland has no open live feed, so the quickest way to check Connacht is the official PowerCheck map from ESB Networks.

Connacht covers counties Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo, and took the worst of Storm Éowyn in January 2025: Mace Head in Co Galway recorded the 184 km/h gust, and the Castlebar and Ballina network areas had more than 80% of customers off supply. Afforestation is a key factor, since fallen trees caused much of the damage and ESB Networks reports continuing tree instability across the western half of the island. Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo and Roscommon were also among the worst-hit counties in Storm Isha in 2024.
